VII International Symposium on Marine Sciences (ISMS 2020)<\/h3>\n

ISMS is organized biannually by the six Spanish universities offering the Bachelor of Marine Sciences (Alicante, Barcelona, C\u00e1diz, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Cat\u00f3lica de Valencia and Vigo universities).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The first edition of ISMS took place in 2007 with the goal of bringing together the full range of topics in the field of Marine Sciences. The ISMS is now a well-established meeting venue for researchers and experts, as well as an excellent opportunity for students and post-graduates to present and gain exposure about the results and findings of their bachelor\u2019s and master’s projects.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

ISMS 2020 involves a world-class group of keynote speakers at plenary sessions and actively seeks for extensive international participation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Transdisciplinary sessions will be given priority, together with the presence of Citizen Science, in order to strengthen the connections between different disciplines and between science and society.<\/p>\n

Within ISMS 2020, the thematic areas that are considered particularly relevant in the current situation of Marine Science research are indicated below, in relation to which participants are especially encouraged to submit contributions.<\/p>\n

A selection of Great Challenges is also included for each thematic area. Contributions that respond to any of the Great Challenges identified will receive the \u201cGreat Challenge Contribution\u201d label.<\/p>\n
